Saturday April 11

It was a slow morning today.
Finally at about 9:30 I started doing the dishes.....
I'm not lying, it took me TWO HOURS!!!!!
I was doing some laundry switches between, and doing some other stuff.....
But come on...two hours!
Oh well.They are done now.
But man oh man I miss my dishwasher!
Anyway, the kids helped out by cleaning their rooms and getting clothes put away.
After a while, I wanted to try to see if I can make the grey bricks in the kitchen look good.
I want them to look like red bricks.
So I am trying to use some stain...I think it will work.
I just need to find the right mix of colors so it's not too pink looking.
For testing purposes, I am testing on the side where the fridge will be covering :)
I think I will be able to get it worked out....just takes time.
They are pretty messy looking bricks, but I think it will look really cool if I can make it work how I want it to :)
Madi's friend Karley came over this afternoon and then she went babysitting with Madi at the Furhimans house.
They had fun....and they are such great girls!
We were super spoiled with dinner tonight.
The Shelton's brought us Steak dinner.
YUMMY!!!!
They sat and talked with us for a while and that was real nice.
We are so lucky to have such great people in our lives.
Great people who are really love us.
I just can't say it enough.
We are beyond blessed to have the families and friends we have....including our ward family, school family and our amazing neighbors.
Just doesn't get any better :)

Port's favorite place to build Legos is right on the stairs.
It's like a built in table cause there is no toe kick, and he can stick his legs right through :)
Anyway......he has been big on building his own 'sets' lately.
He builds stuff, then he asks me to take a picture, then we print it off and she tapes it to one of his Lego boxes.
It's pretty darn cute.
