Dad had his appointment with the neurologist today.
And he said to go ahead and take the 'Fit for Duty' test and he should be able to return to work March 26!
So that is exciting....except it is mid-spring break!!!!
But it will be good for him to get going.
So that is exciting news!
I actually went for a run, yay!!!
Then got some painting done, so that;s good.
Then I got a call from Elsie's teacher.
She had refused to do her seat work, and wasn't being very good.
So she went to room 5 for a time-out, then when they went to get her out, she refused to talk.
So they called me.
First thing I did just crawl in time-out with her and give her a big hug.
Then we talked about what happened.
I talked about her having to miss recess because she didn't do the work.
I asked if she liked recess???
Of course she does.
Then I said that no one likes doing the work, but you just do it, because that is what you do at school..
And when you do it, you get to do the fun stuff too.
Anyway, she got out of time out and we went back to her class.
Her aide had left to help in another class, so I helped her read through her seat work, and once she got it done I headed out, and the rest of the day was great for her.
I hope that she won't be a stinker tomorrow!
Both Madi and Port have fevers this evening, so I am wondering if she isn't feeling too well either :(
Once I got back home with Port, we did some work on cleaning up the wood floors.
Brent cut some straight lines so we can fill it in with the salvaged wood.
I just laid some out so I can see how it will look, and I love it.
I know some people think I am weird that I want to run it opposite direction, so you can tell where the walls used to be.....
But I love it.
I love how it tells a story.
I love how we can always remember where the rooms used to be.
And it just looks cool.....to me :)
We also had a nice little visit from Pat and Steve, so that as fun to see them, and on Pat's birthday too!!!
*****
Got a text from Bubbles this evening.
They are up in McCall and she slipped on ice and fractured her hip :(
She will go in for surgery tomorrow morning in McCall, so prayers would be greatly appreciated!
