Saturday March 14

We thought there was a chance for Bubbles to come home today.
So we got up and made some fun cards and decorations and met up with Vern and the boys to decorate her porch.
We also picked up the pruning branches around their yard.
I would have mowed her lawn for her....because that is what she said she would be doing if she was home.....but she is pretty particular about her lawn mowing.....
So I will do it when she is there to supervise me.
Well.........Bubbles didn't come home today :(
She wanted to stay another night so that Elden could learn how to get her in and out of bed when she needs to through the night.
She said that all this 'old lady stuff' makes her feel old  :)
So they hope to come home tomorrow.
Meanwhile, I think the chalk washed away from today's rain.
But the decorations were pretty well protected.
Once we got back home we did our usual Saturday chores.
A little later in the day Dad took Madi to the urgent care.
She is feeling pretty terrible.
Brent is feeling yuck y too.
So they both had a check-up.
They both tested negative for strep, but they were gonna do more extensive test on Madi's and call us tomorrow.
But they both have viral obstructive airway conditions.
Don't know what that means....but they were both prescribed an inhaler and then we just need to wait it out.
I feel bad for them...they are miserable.
I did get painting done while Dad took her to the doctor.
I painted all the spots that I had painted with the wrong paint.
I finished Port's room.
And I did one coat on the ship-lap.
I am happy with how it is looking :)
Loving it, actually!
But I need another coat for sure.
I have the trimming left to do in the bathroom upstairs, and I still need to paint my sewing room outside the kitchen.
But then I am done with the painting!!!!!
YAY!
So tonight was our ward talent show.
Cassi performed.
She sang "Hard times come again no more."
She did a great job....we need to get her a real microphone so she can practice.
She said she had a hard time finding her right pitch because she kept hearing her voice in the microphone....messing her up.
But she did great and it was a fun night.
Our bishopric and friends did a YMCA skit that was pretty funny :)
Madi stayed home....
So I took her art for her.
Elsie had a piece of art to show.....I love this painting!
And Port had some Lego creations that were pretty awesome.
He saw a boy come in with a big helicopter.
He said "He's cheating because that comes in a kit!"
I laughed and told him it's not cheating....it takes talent to follow those instructions!
But I am sure proud that Porter loves to make up his own creations.
