Monday March 16

Soooo......

Madi woke up, got in the shower, and then laid on the couch and I heard her coughing.

So I went and checked on her....she was a 102 fever.

So I sent her back to bed.

Port was up coughing and throwing up all night......

So they both stayed home today.

Bummer that Port had to miss his Aquarium field trip :(

So he and Madi spent the whole day on the couches watching tv....cause they just felt lousy!

Dad felt pretty yucky too.

But he was a trooper and we worked on floors today.

He chipped out the cinder brick in the master bathroom and got cement board down so that when tile time comes, it will be ready :)

While he did that, I painted more on the ship-lap and I did the trim in the kids bathroom.

Then we got to work on the wood floors.

I am so happy with the floors.

Excited to get it sanded down too!!!!!!

And, I tell ya, it was meant to be for us to re-purpose the old floors boards.

We only had a couple left over scraps.

We had just the right amount to do the floor patching, which is pretty cool!

After school, Port and Cassi went outside for some fresh air.

When I went to check on them, they were 'visiting' Big Bertha's grave.

A coyote or some other animal got Big Bertha about a week ago, and the boy, Port, Max and Graham buried the feathers that they found from Big Bertha :(

Pretty darn sweet.....but sad.
