Saturday December 6

Today was a packed day.
But a fun packed day :)
We started with our Ward Christmas Breakfast.
They had yummy food, great program, sweet video of asking primary kids questions about Christmas, and a cute photo booth.
I was impressed that they got the photos sent out today.
They must have known I needed the photo to blog tonight! :)
When we got home, we brought our 'kids tree' out to decorate.
We aren't gonna go and buy a potted tree this year.
Too much going on.
Also, our potted tree thing does not seem to be working....
Last years is dead as a doornail, and two years ago, that one is still alive, but not very pretty.
Maybe we will give it a try one more year (next year)........
Anyway, we got it decorated and then we watched a Christmas movie.
The kids kinda lost interest after a while anyway....like always.
(Maybe it's because I kept getting mad at them for pulling stuff out of the boxes that we weren't gonna use this year.)
But I continued to put stuff op while they watched the movie.
Elsie loves the tree.
As always.
She danced around it all day, and was warned many times that it will fall if she keep touching it and playing with it.
Port was very helpful with decorating and he even went and cut a branch off our pine tree outside and stuck it in a jar so he could have his own tree in his room.
Well, as is par every year, we had to look up in the blog to see who's turn it was to put up the star.
Thank goodness for daily blogging ;)
Anyway, It was Cassi last year.
But Madi forfeited her turn, because she knew how bad Porter wanted to do it.
And apparently she is getting to old for that kind of thing.
Teenagers (insert eye roll)
But actually, she was just being nice and letting Porter do it :)
We have to kind of shove it on there to fit under the low ceiling.
But it works great.
Then this evening I took Cassi and Madi to the Young's house for Aubree's surprise birthday party.
I took advantage of being by Hobby Lobby and grabbed the last of the gifts I needed for the kids.
I still have a few little things to get, but for the most part I am done.
Yay!
When I came home, I grabbed Mr. Peabody and Sherman from redbox so we could watch it with the little ones.
Then Dad went and picked up the big girls, while I got the little ones in bed.
It was a great day :)
