Sunday December 7

Well, today was actually pretty rotten.
Not rotten, but hard.
I thought we had been doing pretty good on Sundays.....
But today was a ringer!
(I blame it on dad being gone, as well as it being fast Sunday....)
Getting ready for church wasn't too bad.
And I got Cassi to choir practice in time....that's good.
But at church, Porter and Cassi were rotten and fighting the whole time.
Elsie cried and didn't want to go to class.
Last week they had the jr. primary in the big primary room and the older in the YW room, because they had the 5th Sunday meeting with all the adults.
Anyway.....all the little ones were let out before the adults were.
Anyway, Elsie couldn't find us.
I think that is why she had a hard time today.
I told her I would come out of class early to pick her up so she knew for sure she wouldn't get lost.
I used a lot of bribery.....none of which worked.
Her teacher came out to help me convince her.
She told Elsie that their room had actually changed.....and it was a room closer to my room.
So it made her so happy, and that did the trick.
And sister Larsen also said she would take Elsie right to be after class.
She is such a great teacher.
I worry with it being a new year.....I wonder who her next teacher will be.
I would ask if I could just keep Elsie with her teacher, but I also want her to grow.
She needs to get used to changes in life.....
And she has had some amazing teachers in her life, that if she hadn't changed, she would have never learned to love them so :)
So I guess either way I am happy....if she gets to keep Sister Larsen, or gets a new teacher.
It will all be okay.
After church we had meltdowns all over.
Eventually they all chilled out (once they got food :)
And we had a good rest of the night.
*****
So Elvis is back.
He is our Christmas elf.
But he doesn't do naughty things.
He is our service Elf.
If you see Elvis, it is your turn to do a good deed or service, and then put Elvis there for someone else to find, and then they get to do their own act of service.
I do always love this little Christmas tradition.
It is always a fun thing for the kids to do.
I think Elvis has made the rounds through each kid today, and myself.
So it is a lot of fun.....lots of good deeds.
Poor Elvis has to make a lot of beds around this place, though :)
