My patient is getting mad at me and telling me to get in bed instead of blog.
But this is how I remember things in my life....
And if I skip today, I would feel like it would make me ungrateful for the wonderful things that happened today.
First Drew showed up ready to work.
He went and got some lumber and then his dad and Brother and brother in law came out to help him build those walls upstairs.
How awesome is that?????
Then some more friends, Aaron Hale and Jeremy Woodland, showed up.
They are gonna help with electrical in a couple days.
But today they put up some furring strips to hold up the soffit that we put up, but didn't tack down enough and the weather made it sag a little.
They got that up and it looks great.
They had Scott Ewing join them too to help out with that.
He came with his daughter Aniston to bring us some cinnamon rolls his wife made, and stuck around to help them.
Aniston came down and played with Elsie and Cassi.
She is such a sweetheart.
Alyson Woodland also came over with a sweet treat for the fam.
So much love :)
We feel so blessed.
Beyond blessed.
I know I keep saying that.....
But oh my goodness.
Never would I ever have guessed the people who have come to our aide.
And I need to keep track of everyone's names.
I am the worlds WORST thank you card writer!
So I need to remember who to send cards out to!
Because I WILL SEND CARDS!!!!!!
Anyway.
Around lunch time, the kids were getting a bit restless.
I took them for a ride and we got our emissions testing done on the Tahoe.
On the very last day possible.
We stopped at Carls' Jr.
The kids really wanted to buy the food for the car behind us, so that's what we did.
They had so much fun and they were so giggly.
I stopped at Lowes to get some electrical wire, then we ran to Walmart for a few things.
Dad slept the whole time we were gone.
And for a few hours after that.
I think it was good for him.
It was kind of a rough morning for him.
Still feeling bummed......
But he did get better after the nap.
My sister Sara came from Idaho Falls.
She was going to a wedding tonight and we had already made plans for her kids to come out and hang with mine.
Things went really good.
They all played well.
I was a bit worried about having 11 people down here....but it was great for Brent I think.
He had them playing spy games and stuff.
He was still hurting, but the kids made for a fun distraction too.
It has been funny.
This guy is not a visitor kind of person.
But every one who has stopped by have been so great for him and lifted his spirits.
Which makes us all so Thankful.
Lifted spirits are so important right now.
We had a yummy dinner brought by Sadie Grant.
It hit the spot for sure.
And our friends Lindsay and Paul Jones came by with two freezer meals for us.
All these meals have been such a blessing.
It's hard to explain it.
But getting good meals on the table have been a hard thing for me since we started this house, and I just know we would be having cereal every night if it weren't for all the amazing people who have brought us food.
We also got dropped by some Christmas treats and also a secret santa thing as well with a fun Christmas decoration and yummy poppy seed bread.
The kids all ate good and they all played good.
It ended up being another late night with all the kiddos tonight.
I know one thing for sure......
I need sleep!
Pictures tomorrow......well, I will try.....)
