What a great day :)

Dave and Cindy came over again this morning and we went over everything that we had done.
Dave made sure everything that we ran was going to the right spots.

There are a ton of wires going every which way :)

He got a few of the 2 and 3 switch boxes ready to go and made sure Brent knew what to do with the rest of the boxes.

We didn't get any done upstairs, because we don't have walls up there yet.

We don't have walls because we had to get under the floor boards to do the lights in the existing parts of the house.

But we have almost everything done on the main level.

Just need to get wired ran to the spots where the lights will be and run outlets to where the island will be.

But the boxes for the kitchen light switches are ready to go, just need the wires ran from the box to the lights.

And up stairs, once we get the walls build, I think we have a pretty good idea of how to get the rest done.

And of course we will have Dave on speed dial when we get to that point :)

I am completely fascinated with the whole electricity thing.

It was so cool to learn about how it all works.

You don't think about all that goes into getting your light switch to work.

I really enjoyed learning about it.....I am sure I will forget it all once we are done with it, but it sure has been cool.

I like it when I catch on to things.

I have never been great with school things.

I was a good student in school, because I had easy classes :)

So when something makes sense to me, it makes me excited!

They left about 11.

before they left they had to take a tour of the girls ice castle.

It turned out pretty cool.

We will never be able to repay them for coming here to help us with all this electrical.

It was so fun to just be around them.

But also, to get all the great work done together.....man oh man!!!!!

It just feels so great to get one step closer!

And again, so satisfying to know we did it ourselves (with helpers, of course :).

I am so grateful for the things we have been able to learn together while doing this house.

Thankful for the ways we have grown together.

It has been an awesome experience so far.

I know we still have a ways to go........but I am truly grateful for this experience.

Once they were gone, we ate some lunch and cleaned up a bit inside.

Sine we pretty much ignored the kids the last two days so we could get as much electrical done as possible.....we decided to go out and watch a movie together.

Yesterday the kids played so good together.....but it was a late night, and they were all sleep deprived today and everyone was SO GRUMPY!!!!!!!

Especially Porter, cause he just DOES NOT know how to sleep in!!!!!!

So getting out and doing something together was a good idea!

We went and watched Box Trolls.

It was a cute show.

Then we stopped for some chocolate milk on the way home.

Once we came home we had a simple dinner, and everyone got showered and we got the kiddos in to bed early.

And we are headed that directions too!

Sleep is good!

 

 

This is the heater that Port singed his hair with the other day.....

Everyone has been very careful not to get too close to it :)
