Today s a SNOW DAY!!!!
I can't believe how much snow we got today!
It was a great day, the kids played outside and had so much fun all day.
Madi and Cassi started to build themselves an igloo, an ice castle of sorts :)
I didn't ask them to do anything all day because I was so happy they were getting along so well.
Made me seriously so happy!
They all got bundled up and headed out early once they found out there was no school.
I made a big pot of hot cocoa that they dug into all morning...
They were in and out all day leaving a snowy mess in the doorway :)
The girls would come in and throw their stuff in the dryer, then head back out once it was all dried and warmed up.
Elsie was out for a little bit, but mostly stayed inside.
Port was in and out and in and out.
Man, I need to get a full body snow suit for the little kids!
That would make life so much easier!
Anyway, when Porter realized there was no more hot cocoa, he thought he would make his own.
When I went to check on them/him, he had started to make more.
He took a taste and said that he made it too chocolaty.
Well....he had dumped the rest of the cocoa powder in.
Yes....too chocolaty, and not sweet....at all.
So I tried to fix it for him.
We ended up dumping a ton of sugar in, and water, and ended up having to just add 1/3 cup of his mix in a cup, then fill the rest with water and microwave it for 30 seconds.
Then it was perfect.
Yes, super messy.
But gosh dang-it, it was the cutest thing!
He would deliver the hot cocoa to the girls at the door, wearing shorts he put on inside out.
That boy makes me smile.
He makes me crazy, but he makes me smile :)
I was curious how the pot was hot.....I was worried he had turned the oven on, which would not have been okay.
At all!
But he pointed to the sink, where he had about 8 cups lined up, and said that he just filled those cups with water, then microwaved it for 30 seconds and put it in the pot.
Smart boy :)
But he sure is trouble!

We got a lot done in the house with Dave and Cindy.
A lot of the main floor got wired.
A lot of messes were fixed that were done to the house previously.
A few of the boxes and the main breaker box downstairs was just a mess!
So he cleaned things up n there and it looks better now.

Then late tonight, after lots of work and forcing Dave and Cindy to stop.......
We left the kids home and us adults went out to eat at the RAM.
It was a yummy dinner and we had a lot of fun talking with each other.
We don't ever get much one on one time with Dave and Cindy, so this was a real treat to spend this much time with them.
We really appreciate all that they are doing for us to come out here and help us!

I know it is pretty....but I cannot believe the snow we got!!!!
I am a warm weather girl.......
But the kids had a lot of fun, so that's good.
