Wednesday September 17

Well, I was kinda worthless this morning.
I did go for a run.....but that was pretty much it.
Well, besides dishes and laundry...no fun stuff.
I picked Port up and we got his homework done.
Then he really wanted to 'make' something together.
It was his idea to make an army snowman.
I helped him to gather the supplies he needed, then he made it.
I just thought it was the cutest thing :)
So he and I hung out together.
He's a good boy.
He and I went and picked the little girls up from school.
Elsie had a big Band-Aid on her knee.
Poor girls fell on the stairs that they call "the cheese grater".
The picture doesn't show it very good....but the big scratch is a pretty good gouge!
Poor girl.
And the worst part, this morning when I helped her get dressed, I thought 'Maybe I should put some leggings on her instead of shorts.'
But she looked so cute in her little outfit, so we left the shorts.
And maybe leggings wouldn't have helped.
But I still feel guilt for sending her in shorts :(
Poor girl.
But she was a tough cookie.
She went to the nurses office and got bandaged up.
It makes me sad.
Sad that little things like going up stairs are hard for her.
And something that could cause her to get hurt.
But she just keeps plugging along.
She is one awesome little girl.
Her only concern about her knee was, if she can still dance.
Of course Elsie bug....you can still dance :)

Those wraps on her fingers.....
Our way of trying to break her 'picking the nose' habit.
Seems to be working pretty good.
