I was going to bottle my tomatoes today.
But my neighbor, Vern, called to tell me about a letter she got in the mail.
Asking if I got one too.
It was about a cell phone tower they want to put in our 'neighborhood'.
She wanted to go to the meeting, but we missed it, it was last night.
Anyway...I spent my morning looking and researching about it.
I am sure there will be several meetings......but too bad we missed that one.
I talked to the school secretary (Linnea), who lives by us, and she went to the meeting.
She said that everyone that came was opposed to it.
So that's good.
The people who's property they want to put the tower on are in our ward.
And Linnea said that they seemed generously shocked that people were opposed.
they must not have done any research or been told anything except that they would be paid $1200 a month for 20 years.
The reason I know that is because Linnea and her husband were approached first about it, and turned it down.
I am sure there will be more to come on this subject.
Especially once the parents of the Mary Mac school kids find out about it.
It is awfully close to the elementary school.
Anyway.
So I didn't get my tomatoes done.
Maybe tomorrow :)
I picked up Porter and we played and got more house work done.
When is housework done????
Why is there ALWAYS laundry??????
I took Port to Max's house around 3 so they could watch him while I went to Madi's cross country meet.
Cassi was riding the bus home to Brinleys house, who she is babysitting every XC meet.
She has really enjoyed it.
She put together a babysitting bag this morning before school.
Pretty cute.
So I picked Elsie up early and took her with me.
It was a tri-meet.
One of them being Sawtooth Middle, which was most of the kids Madi knew before we moved out here.
So it was fun to see a few familiar faces.
She did a good job.
She pushed it hard at the end....and I like to see that.
We had the front girls.....which is awesome, except when they lost the path of the race.
It was kind of a mess.
They kept in front, but lost the big lead they had.
Kind of a bummer.
I feel like they should do a run through of the path before they run.
This happened when they ran in Eagle too.
Eventually we all ended up at home together :)
Port and dad sat and watched the Roosevelt documentary together after dinner.
And they made me smile.
