Saturday August 9

It was a pretty fun day today.

It started out lousy :(

I have had a major stiff neck...like bad.

And it also stretches down into my left shoulder, which gives me no strength.

It loosens up during the day, but morning is a killer.

I have to roll my body out, because I can't lift my head up to sit and get out.

So this morning was the very worst!!!!!

But once I finally got out of bed and took a nice hot shower....it got a little better.

The plan was to gets Madi's school supplies today, and underwear and socks for the other kiddos.

I planned to go get that stuff, and then take the kids with me to do grocery shopping too.

Well....we got the supplies etc... and it became very evident that it would NOT be a good idea to take them grocery shopping as well.

So I ran them home, and then went to Winco.

It went much quicker without them anyway :)

After that, we just played.

Madi modeled all her cute new (to her) outfits for us....

Like I said....that girl has a cute style and a super cute personality too :)

It makes me happy to see her blossom and become comfortable in her own skin.

She is a good kiddo.

While she was modeling....Port and Cassi were upstairs playing Legos.

Originally he had his Legos all spread out on the kitchen "table".

He kept complaining that there was just not any room anywhere for him to put his Lego.

He was very frustrated.

So I told him that the living room area upstairs could be his Lego space until we had to start making changes up there.

He thought that would be great :)

And Elsie hung outside, playing with her puppy (that she loves so much!)

She is pretty cute with Mater.

She says they even have their own handshake, where they rub foreheads together :)

So cute.

Then we had dinner, and watched a movie together.

The new Isabelle American Girl movie recorded....so we watched that.

Port wasn't too interested.

But I built some Legos with him while we watched, and that kept him pretty happy.

He was pretty grumpy today.

I hope he isn't getting sick :(

Then Madi went for her run, and I got the little ones to bed.

I miss Dad.

It has been about 2 weeks since he has worked....

I kind of like being around him.

Just one more day.

So tomorrow we get to go back to our building.....

No more 20 minute drive to church.

And our time does go back to 11:00, which will be nice too.

So....to bed I go :)
