Friday August 15 - Saturday August 16

So glad we took the time and left for the ward camp out.
We all had a great time.
It was great weather.
The flys were horrible.....but there were no mosquitoes, so that was pretty good.
We were the first ones to show up Friday afternoon.
And we showed up pretty frustrated!
There were no signs on where to go.
And the instructions they gave everyone in the ward, said for you to turn left and a time you were supposed to turn right.
But we figured it out after lots of stopping and getting out and walking down trails to make sure it went all the way through...
We got there and set up and then people started to show up.
The first thing we did was catch a bunch of little frogs jumping all in the grass.
Then they started finding snakes and lizards.
We were in charge of our own dinners, but we got together with the Morgan's for dinner.
Lots more playing after dinner.
They all had a blast on the 100 ft. water slide.
It was fun to watch them :)
Later on, Elsie and Kyra had Stacia and I come and watch a play they made up in the tent.
It was pretty hilarious :)
They are cute little friends.
All the men played some football too.
Brent said it felt pretty good to get out and run around....but I won't lie, his back was pretty sore when he woke up this morning, but he is doing pretty good!
Then there was a dessert cook off where Madi and I got to be judges.
Yummy stuff :)
And then a little fireside by the Bishop.
It was a late night.
Madi slept up on the hill with all the other Young Woman that were there.
Cassi planned to sleep out in our tent (that Madi set up) with a couple of her friends.
But she waited too long and got too tired and too emotional.
Which was fine.
I would rather her start the night there then come and wake me up during the night....
Even though I would have probably been awake anyway
Elsie kept waking up with a tummy ache, then a bloody nose....
A bloody nose that she tried to wipe and got all over her face.
Looked like a murder scene!
I need to get a humidifier going for her.
This is about the fourth night in a row she has woken up with a bloody nose!
Anyway, we all got back to sleep and the rest of the night went pretty good.
After breakfast in the morning, a bunch of kids hopped back on the water slide :)
Brrrrrr....
More playing with frogs.
Morning s'mores (of course :)
Packing up and we were out by 11ish.
We had almost as much trouble finding our way out and we did on the way in :)
But we made it out.
Got home safe and we all took a nap/rest.
Then cleaned up and unpacked the trailer.
And cleaned the house too.
It was a great time spent with family and friends.

Madi showing off her tent putting up skills :)

Port was in Heaven with all the little boys running around!

Yoga poses were part of their play :)

Playing the 'tic tac toe' hand game with Dad before bed :)

Bummer it's out of focus....but here is proof I was there with my little fam ;)

We just went to Camp Hicliff for girls camp. I agree that it might be one of the hardest places to find. The instructions on the website are hard to follow. It is a fun camp. The water slide was a hit with all the girls. Looks like your kids sure enjoyed it too.
