We went out to dinner tonight to celebrate the end of the Captains test!

He got word today that he passed....came in 8th out of 23 who took the test.

He ended better than he thought he would.

He actually came in 5th, but with seniority points of 3 others (being a driver for longer than Brent has), that put them above Brent.

Thee were many frustrating things about the whole process...but he ended out good.

And, like I said before, we are so happy it is all over with!

We went to Buffalo Wild Wings.

Elsie bug was happy about that!

Elsie had a field trip today....

I didn't go...and I was kinda sad about that.

But she had such a great time.

And came home so extremely exhausted.

But she talked and talked about....it was a good time for her.

After dinner we headed out to pick up a horse :)

Everyone here wants a horse, except for dad.

We have a fire department friend who has an old horse, and she was willing to let us take care of her.

This way we can prove to dad that we love horses, and that the kids will be willing to take care of her.

Her name is Miley.

She is really old....like 24...but she is great with kids.

We can't wait to get on her and take her for a ride :)

The kids are all super happy!

Oh, and our project today was to get the garden ready.

Got all the water lines all laid down and hooked up.

We will lay the black stuff down soon, but it was so hot today.

We need to do it when it is cooler...maybe tomorrow morning....
