Madi got up and got ready for school today, but when it came time to go to school, and the thought of walking from class to class....she just couldn't do it.
So I kept her home and made an appointment to check it out.
Took her in and we got to see Dr. Allie.
So excited to see her and get to talk to her.
She had removal surgery for her breast cancer, and says the next time we see her she will be bald.
I told her she would be beautiful bald.
She really is a pretty special lady in our lives :)
And there is something to say about having a pediatrician that is so well known.
Everybody loves her and she is good.
So we pray for her and wish her a speedy recovery.
Anyway, she was pretty sure it wasn't broken, but she didn't like how the toe looked and wanted to have it x-rayed.
We ran Porter to preschool, then headed to the hospital to get x-rays.
Came back home for about an hour downtime before we had to go pick up Porter and then pick up the girls.
We got the call about the x-rays saying it wasn't fractured....but she would most likely want to have the flat bottom walking shoe.
That way her foot and toe won't have to bend as it heals.
Dr. Allie wrote her a note for Gym class that she is to refrain from jumping, running, or any stress to the foot for two weeks.
Once she got the boot, her spirits lifted, cause she could actually walk without the pain.
So she feels good about getting back to school and walking to her classes.
So pretty much nothing else got done for the day....but at least she is happy and walking now :)

Poor Madi Bell! I'm glad that nothing is broken, and that the boot is helping her!
I'm so glad you were able to see Dr. Allie!
