I am so proud of Elsie and how hard she is working in school this year.

She has been reading for a while now.

She enjoys it.

And she works hard at it.

But today, after we went the the library, was the first time that she has sat down on her own to READ...on her own.

Not for homework, and not just looking through the pictures.

Just because she wanted to sit down and read.

I loved it!

I really do love that all my kids love books so much.

I love books too....I just don't like reading.

I don't know if it is because I am not a very fast reader.....or I am thinking about all the other things I could be getting done while I am reading.....or it takes me a long time to really get hooked into a book.

I don't know.

But I am glad that none of our kids seem to be like that.
