Happy Anniversary to the most amazing man!
Thirteen years!
That seems like such a big number :)
I told him that it isn't far off that I would have spent more my life with him than without him.
We had a just a regular morning, Porter speech, me helping in Elsie's class.
But once the kids all got home we headed out to dinner.
It is so nice to have Madi who can now babysit these kiddos.
It gives her a good way to make some money, and we get to go out more often.
I am liking it :)
We were just going to go to dinner and then come home and put the little ones to bed then try to hit a movie.
But the movies were either at 6:30 or 9:30...neither time would work for the plan.
So we talked with Madi, told her what she needed to do to get the little ones in bed.
I knew Porter wouldn't go down, and I wasn't sure of Elsie.
So I told her when to get them in their jammies and then just play it by ear.
Then we went to dinner.
We went to PF Changs, one of our favorites.
Not very happy that they seemed to have cut their servings in half.....oh well.
It is probably better we ate less anyway :)
Then we decided to hit the 6:30 show.
We were going to go to 'Life of Pi'.
But then we saw the new one 'The Impossible'.
Oh my goodness!
It was amazing.
It was the true story of a family that got lost in the tsunami and then ended up finding each other, all 5 of them, alive.
It was beautiful.
I really recommend it.
(p.s.We were surprised to see a bit of nudity.....wasn't expecting that, so in case you do go and see it, now ya know.)
We got home and they were all still awake.
I guess Port had a hard time having us gone.
He is kinda attached to his Mom and Dad :)
But he did good.
The house looked good, the kids were fed.
It is just that no one wanted to go to sleep without seeing us.
Which is fine...I was happy to see them and love on them before they went to bed anyway :)
*****
So it was a fun night....we got to have our alone time together.
I am so Thankful to him.
I love the Dad he is, the Man he is and the Husband he is.
I am lucky to have him forever.
Happy Anniversary Baby!
I pulled up our picture from last year.....NO SNOW!
Man, it was cold out there today, and breezy....hence the squinty eyes :)
