At back to school night last night, Elsie's teacher sent me home with a set of little reading books and a DVD set to hold onto for the year.

Each kid got them.

I agree, it is easier then checking out individual books all year long.....but I am a little worried about keeping track of all of these...

Anyway.

Elsie has been very excited about this reading thing.

Madi and Cassi sat down tonight and read with them this evening.

Madi would point to a word that was used several times in the book and tell Elsie to say it when they came to it.

Elsie thought it was pretty great.

They are super easy, and I think they all rhyme.

I just need to be sure to keep these all in a safe spot........

Elsie loves reading and I am sure she is gonna pick it up pretty quickly.

And maybe Port will learn along with her.....maybe :)
