What a great day.
More Conference....which was wonderful.
The girls and I had some more fun.
Elsie did some more painting....
And the older girls and I had some fun with cutting paper out.
We found pictures we liked from our favorite artist...cut out the shapes and made our own little masterpieces.
Madi had a blast with it....Cassi's attention span didn't last very long and she joined Elsie and painted.
So I finished up Cassi's for her.
I think they are so cute....now we need to hang them up in their rooms.
Madi loved it so much, she wanted to make another one.
And we learned some new tricks the first time, so the second one went a lot faster.
Madi said she wants to make a business....I told her we would have to use our own images though....
Then she said that would be cool to do it off of pictures I had taken of them.
I love that idea!
Madi actually made one of our family that she entered into Reflections.
That is beautiful too.
So maybe we will do this more often!
So we made ourselves quite a little art collection over the last couple days of Conference.
I love art.
I love the art my kids make.
*******
I am Thankful for today.
I am Thankful for my amazing friend, Auna, (who, might I add, just had a baby a few days ago) and her husband (our H.T.) brought dinner over to my little family today.
I was so Thankful....but felt so ashamed too!
I should be the one helping her out.
We also had a little neighbor girl, Annabelle (Cassi's little friend) stop by and she brought her wagon full of drinks and asked if we wanted one?
We offered her money for it....but she just wanted to share.
So sweet!
Then later on, we had a knock on the door and it was the sweet Tolman's who rode their cute tandem bike over and brought us some Rice Crispy treats.
I was stunned.
Such kindness around us.
I started to think....is there something going on with my family that maybe I don't know about?
Is there an impending tragedy about to strike my family, that I needed to be prepared for???
But no.
In reality....I think my little family needed it.
I am not sure if that makes sense.
Let me explain.
I am not sure if that makes sense.
Let me explain.
We have kind of been struggling with the older girls and them fighting all the time.
And I hate to air it on the blog, but we have struggled with our Madi, and trying to teach her to be respectful and kind.
I am sure it is age thing.
But that doesn't make it any easier around our house.
I think today was such a great example to Madi, and all of us, of the sweet spirit that kindness brings.
And how these amazing souls didn't expect anything in return.
They did it out of love.
The did it out of kindness.
And I am so Thankful that they were in tune with the spirit to answer, in such a simple way, our recent family prayers.

Wonderful art! I love the cuttings Madi and you and Cassi did...they'll look beautiful hung in their rooms. Are you planning on framing them? Or at least putting a mat around them?
That is so sweet, the kindness of your neighbors! I hope Madi can learn more about kindness. It might be an oldest child thing, too.....
So you have an artist and a musician! Seriously! Your girls are so talented! I want to see Madi's reflections entry!
