Wednesday November 11

Bruiser spent some time inside today while Port did school work.
School wasn't terrible today.....
Best part about today is we got Cassi's Covid test results back and they are negative!!!
Yay!
Port was so happy to get to talk with the boys.
They walked on the canal road for their PE workout today :)
Elsie had PT today and I had to show Katie how Elsie is squatting to give Mater fresh water every day.
She is doing really well!!!!
(Still have a hard time convincing her to jump!)
Cassi had to work this evening, so she missed YW.
Elsie's class was going roller skating.........she didn't want to go to that.
And Port raked up leaves for elderly members.

Tuesday November 10

These baby bunnies are just so cute!!!!!
Porter has had a lot of fun with the little ones :)
Dad was gone at his helicopter training today.
We worked on school.
Still waited for Cassi's results, that never came.
This evening Dad and I had our ARP meeting.
We are on step 5, confession.
It was such a great meeting with LOTS of people attending!
More than usual and we love when that happens!!!!
In my share I shared about my side of confession.
I know that Brent and I have different stories than many of the people in our group.
Almost all of them have been divorced due to their addictions etc.
I have two very distinct memories, that I will never forget, of Brent confessing to me things he had done.
These are treasured memories for me.
To the world, it might have made more sense for me to get angry and fight....and I have done that plenty of times.
But these two times were different.
This was Brent coming to me, humbly admitting his wrongs.
He was vulnerable.
I had been lied to so many times, that to see him come to me with such honesty, was refreshing.
And it softened my heart.
It allowed me to see and feel the love he has for me and me for him.
Without that step of confession, not only can the addicted not heal, but the ones who have been hurt can't heal.
It is a very hard and necessary step.
Again, these steps can be applied in anyone's life!!!!!
These steps are not only for addiction recovery.
These steps are laid out, in a practical way, of how to apply the atonement in our lives.
No matter what your struggle is.
I am so grateful for it

Monday November 9

Started on the front room remodel today πŸ˜‚
Well, just a little bit.
Dad had to move the heater vent grub the wall that the fireplace will be on.
So he and Porter wished in that after Port was done with school.
School went pretty good for Elsie and Porter.
Port still hates it and he actually had a pretty off day.
Lots of anger.
He feels frustrated and he feels worried.
I'm trying to be patient, but it's also hard when he's so mean and angry ☹️.
We had a good talk tonight.
We are just gonna try harder.
And we need to figure out a good outlet for him when he gets frustrated and anxious.
We also got baby bunnies a few days ago and Port does love to play with them.
That helps calm him. ❤️

Saturday November 7

We had a birthday for this cute girl today.
Seventeen years old!
Crazy crazy!!!!!
The day did not start out great.
Elsie woke up and felt so sick.
She ended up throwing up!
She said she was tired, so she went up to her room.
She went back to sleep but not before throwing up again ☹️
Dad went to the Dr to get the rapid Covid test, which was negative, yay!!!!
But he did talk to them about Elsie and they made her an appointment to check for strep.
I went for a run.
Didn't go to the gym because I still want to wait until Cassi's test comes back!
When I got back from my run (which was so great to do again. It's been a while since I have gone running!!!)
When I got back, dad and I took Elsie to the Dr.
She was positive for strep πŸ‘ŽπŸΌ
But I'll take strep over Covid.
They were going to do the Covid test, but she started crying and the Dr was so sweet and he's like, I don't think we need to do that anyway.
So, we start antibiotics.
She felt good all day, no more throwing up.
So that's great.
Cassi didn't get the birthday celebration she wanted.
But we're made yummy crepes for breakfast.
Then we ordered curbside pickup from Costa vida, where dad helped a guy who needed his car jumped.
(Don't worry, remember he tested negative!)
Oh also, he bright my chairs home from RC Willey (after his negative covid test).
I'm excited to get started on that room!!!!
Big changes happening!!!!!
We just hung out tonight and watched a movie.
Elsie went to bed early.
That's great, more sleep the better!!!!
Hopefully we can all get good sleep tonight and all stay well!
And happy birthday to our sweet Cassi!!!!
She will have a makeup birthday soon.
But for today, it was nice did get family to be able to hang out with her 😁

Friday November 6

Today was one of those days that I did not like very much.
Oh man.
Cassi find out that she may have been exposed to covid-19.
So after calling around for a while,I took her in to get a test.
I was hoping to get a rapid test, but the next available appointment wasn't until Monday.
So we opted for the three day test that was available to take today.
We are hoping and praying that it comes back negative. πŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌ
She has a bit of a sore throat, but that could be with the weather turning dry.
I just need to know!!!!
Anyway, with no school, the election stress, dad at work, and then this covid crap!
My top was about to blow today!
Luckily, after the testing, I calmed a bit.
Just a bit.
It was such great weather again, a little cooler.
The kids got leaves into a pile.... Then played for a while.
Then went inside and left me with the rest of the job.
Which, actually was totally fine.
It was good therapy for my stressed out soul πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
We had groceries delivered since we can't go out to breakfast for Cassi's birthday tomorrow πŸ™„
She was going to go to breakfast with her friend Ellie B, lunch with Josh, then dinner with us as a family.....we can't do any of that anymore!
But I asked her what she wanted for every meal and we will make it a great day anyway.
We ordered pizza for dinner, because of raking leaves AND (remember, I said I was stressed).
Also, we had planned to go to Cassi's rugby awards dinner tonight......
Couldn't go to that ☹️
So pizza made things a little better ....
She did get an award though!!!!
She got, "Rugger if the year" which is what they call the MVP.
Awesome job Cassi!!!!
Very proud of her.
Now I'm gonna go lay in bed where I should go to sleep, but I will probably watch tv until it's too late.
I kinda want to sleep for a week!!!!
All is good.... I'm really okay.... We all have bad days, right?!?!
Tomorrow will be better. ❤️
Plus, dad is back home tomorrow!!!!

Thursday November 5

After my weight lifting class, by teacher/coach was teaching the cycle class.....so she convinced me to do that class.

I don't particularly love cycling classes usually, but this was a good sweat :)

Back at home, helped the kids with finishing up schooling.

No school tomorrow, the quarter is over.

It wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible.

I think next quarter will go better.......fingers crossed.

It was a beautiful day outside today.

Port was outside most of the day.

I did laundry and edited pictures...but didn't get a lot done really :)

Just one of those days I guess.

Gonna get myself to bed though, I am TIRED!!!!

Cassi is working and she closes tonight, again.

There is a long story, but we might make her quit.....more on that later.

Wednesday November 4

Cassi didn't have school today.
And Port just had his math test.
So after lunch, dad took those two to swan falls to go fishing.
It was such as beautiful day today.
There is all kinds of stress and anxiety on social media due to the election.
And I spend time looking, then need a break and stay away...... Then get sucked back 😭
Anyway.
I got some editing done.
After Elsie finished school, she and I went for a walk down the lane.
We met up with Vern, and took a nice walk along the canal road.
Dad and the kiddos came home in time for dinner.
After dinner, the girls went to YW.
Port has a tummy ache (I really think it was from his math test this morning.....)
But he wasn't feeling good while fishing either, so he stayed home from YM.
Dad goes to work tomorrow.
The kids have school tomorrow but not on Friday.

Monday November 2 - Tuesday November 3

Oh man.... I'm failing at this blogging thing!
Just a regular day yesterday, school, gym, hot tub πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
Today, the kids had no school.
Dad and I went to the gym.
Cassi and Elsie went shopping together
Porter and Dad made a little house for the ducks.
Oh ya, and we got baby bunnies this morning!
So that's fun.
Hopefully Honey will be a good mom...... This is her first time.
We think there are about 4 or 5.
Tonight, dad and I had our ARP meeting.
It was a good night.

Sunday November 1

We had a really nice testimony meeting today.
Porter had a meeting before church and he was set apart after church.
He's the second counselor in the Deacons quorum now.
Then I had a ward missionary meeting right after that.
We had some nice quiet time at home.
Dad made a great dinner and then we did our Come Follow Me after that.
It was a nice evening.
