Sunday May 1

I think today was a good day.
Church was nice.
This afternoon, we had a bishops fireside.
A get to know you kind of thing.
We played the newlywed shoe game……and dad and I totally won!!!!
Between questions, we took turns taking about some experiences have had with one of the 5 suggestions from pres Nelson to build spiritual momentum.
I write down what I wanted to say, and I think it mostly came out like this…..
I was so scared to share but also knew it cops be relatable to the youth.
I wanted to talk about learning about God and how he works.
This is basically what I shared:

The lord uses people to accomplish his work.

The lord uses our struggles to help others.

This week has been especially hard for me having feelings of worthlessness and sadness.

I didn’t understand why. I’ve felt like things that I say don’t make sense to people and so I’ve been kind of quiet this week.

I can feel Satan working on me, causing me to doubt myself. You wanna know why????

I have experience in my life (as we all do) that can be very helpful to people who are struggling. After sharing last week about my side of our addiction struggle……Satan hit me full force with doubt and embarrassment.

He sees that the lord wants to use me, us, our story to help people.

That’s what I have learned about my Heavenly Father. He won’t always take us out of our hard situations……BUT he will always use us to help others!!!!! And Satan will ALWAYS try to stop us with feelings of self doubt!

I have such a testimony of the purpose on trials. We learn and we grow and we then move on to help those around us! I have a testimony that God loves YOU!!!! That God can use you to change others lives 💗

Dad has some great words to share about daily repentance.

I think overall it was a really fun afternoon and I hope the youth got a lot out of it.

*****

We got to FaceTime Winnie too.

She’s just the sweetest little big!
