We had a nice day today at home church.
We didn't a ton....but there was fighting :)
I mean, it was fast Sunday, so there are bound to be moods!
We listened to a great talk from Elder Uchtdorf, 'The road to Damascus'.
Then we talked about not waiting for the big stuff to happen to convert you, and to pay attention to the little ways the Lord speaks to us.
We also talked about using less electronics to fill our time, giving us some quiet in our lives where we can hear the Lord better when he speaks to us.
Then we read the scriptures for Sunday school....
Wow, there were a lot of scriptures.....it took almost 3 hours for us to read and discuss them all!
I think for the most part it went pretty well.
I mean we are in the war chapters and some good story telling happening.
Then we broke out fast.
But before we said our prayer, it was suggested that we each say our own individual prayer.
Man, that was pretty cool.
Everyone was moody before, then we all said our own prayers and I could feel a physical lift of contention, of course it didn't totally leave.....
But that moment, it was pretty cool.
I think we need to do that on Fast Sundays from now on!
We ate, it was kind of a free for all.
I did some painting, others relaxed for a bit.
Tonight Elsie and I rode with Vern and met up with Bubble who is recovering from her hip replacement surgery!
She is doing awesome!
