I got up this morning and went for a really good run with Makenna.

I'm so glad that we could go.

I really wanted to talk with her and make sure she knows I'm thinking of her, but I also didn't want to be over bearing.

I know there are dealing with a lot, losing her dad a little over a month ago.

But she was so sweet and I think it did her good to be able to talk.

I did notice great rocks along the path as we ran....which tells me that I was where the Lord wanted me to be.

That's the way I read heart rocks anyway.... The Lord letting me know I'm in the right path ❤️💟💗

When I got home, dad and I tackled the lilac bushes.

We (dad) basically cut then down about half the size that they were!

They don't look great now, but next year they will fill in with new happy growth!!!

I forgot to take the after picture until we went for our bike ride....

But before the bike ride, I took some baptism pictures.

Then dad and I had our ARP meeting.

It was a great night.

We talked about having a change of heart.

Asking the Lord to remove your character weaknesses....

You know, it's not a one and done thing.

This is a daily thing to allow for the Lord to work in our lives and take away the things that we do not want to be a part of us anymore.

Like my habit of blaming others for everything.

I tend to do that.

And this week I may have been kind of a jerk to Dad because of this character flaw of mine.

Anyway.... It is important to look at ourselves with real eyes and hello the Lord remove those things that we don't want there ❤️

Bike ride was fun..... Another two miles right before the sun set!
