Learning to dance in the rain.
This trip to Hawaii has been nothing like we expected.
It has rained and the wind has blown since the moment we landed.
But this last week has taught us well.
Without that rain, there really wouldn't be the beauty that we know as Hawaii.
It's the rain that keeps everything so lush and green. Without
the wind, the trees wouldn't be strong enough, roots not deep enough to hold in the rain.
As I think about the last 20 years since we married, I can't help compare it to our stay here in paradise.
We got married thinking we had it all figured out, we knew what to expect.
Boy did we get thrown for a loop when nothing went as planned.
We have had many rain storms, many wind storms.
Actual hurricanes in our lives.
But I am so grateful for those storms because without them, our life would not be as beautiful and our roots not as deep.
I am so grateful we choose NOT to stay inside and wait for it to pass.
That we choose each other every day, and guess what.....there's always a rainbow.

We spent the day ziplining in the jungle.... In the rain!
We had so much fun.
It was cold and wet and we felt very adventurous 😊
I'm so grateful that we have had this time together.
Don't tell the kids that we don't want to come home!!!
I am so thankful that 20 years ago, I made my best choice ever.
We have made a beautiful life together ❤️
