Tuesday January 9 (add road to Hana pictures)

Road to Hana day!!!!!

We got a little later start than we thought we would today, but not too bad.

We were still on our way by about 7:30.

We downloaded a great guided tour that works with your GPS, so it tells you what is coming up and tells you stories and plays music.

It was pretty great.

There was a lot of hiking done today.

Elsie was great, but man oh man, you can tell she is so tired!

She also fell this morning in the Hotel and hurt her foot pretty bad....but she is being a tough girl!

Her poor muscles are working so hard!

And when she gets tired, she tends to fall, a lot.

And she has scuffed her knees up pretty bad.

Dad was the best today and carried her on a lot of the hikes!!!!!

Good thing Daddy is strong!

I will have to go through the pictures and add the places we stopped at.

But among the favorites were the hidden fresh water pool and the black sand beach!

So many exciting adventures!

Would you believe we spent 11 hours in the car!!!!!!!

You just drive from spot to spot and spend as much time you want at whatever spots you want to, or skip some stuff if you need to catch up before the sun goes down.

We were so sad the hear that the Seven Sacred Pool were closed to swimming!

We have been talking about them to the kids and playing up how great it will be to swim in them :(

We still could have psi the $25 to hike in.....but Elsie was already exhausted and had bleeding knees, and the kids wanted to swim so bad.....so we just went by them.

Huge bummer, but that is okay.

We really did have so much fun on this adventure!

We drove all the way around.

Some tours have you stop half way, and turn around and drive back the way you came......but we went all the way around and it was so beautiful to see the different terrain across the island.

When we got to a place that I had service, I googled some fun facts about Hawaii and we made a game of them guessing stuff about Hawaii.

That was a really fun time in the trip.

Just being together......getting along (for the most part).......having these adventures in Paradise, together!!!

I have so many fun pictures and videos to share!

I am gonna put together a video that will include pictures and videos......that way I can be sure to get it all documented!!!!!

On the drive in we tried to find a good restaurant.

We wanted to find some fun Hawaiian food....the place we found only had adults there, and the kids felt funny going in....

So we tried out Ruby Tuesdays.

The food was good, but we had to laugh at the end about all the things the waiter got WRONG while we were there!!!!!!!

Taking forever to bring drinks......it took three times to ask for Elsie's drink before it came.

Then he brought a meal to Madi, but it had the wrong sides.......and he's like 'Woops, that goes to another table!'

On the receipt Brent was going over it and noticed that Madi's was wrong....that is the only one he checked.

The waiter took the receipt and was like, Oh ya, that is the wrong receipt!

Well, we should have kept that one, because he came back with one that was for $20 more!!!!!!!

And there was so much more......it just became comical because how in the world can so many mistakes happen??????

We got home and went right to the Hot Tub.

Great for tired legs from hiking.....and Dads back from being a taxi for Elsie all day :)

It really was an amazing day!

The kids went to sleep fast once we got home.

Port did need to fit in some reading time while the girls got ready for bed....but then he was out like a light!!!!

I am hoping the kiddos sleep really good tonight because tomorrow is our Snuba day!!!!!!!

They are very excited about it!
