A new year!!!!!!
It is pretty exciting!
Today we finished getting Christmas put away.
The kids got chores done and we got the house cleaned up.
We decided to go out to eat for FHE.
As we ate, we talked about what our family goals would be for the new year.
We came up with a great list.
We also came up with our new years family theme!
This last week, I prepared for a lesson on Unity......but then ended up not having to give the lesson because it was a 5th Sunday combined meeting.
Anyway, it didn't go to waste, because that is where I found the perfect scripture!
Mosiah 18:21
21 And he commanded them that there should be no contention one with another, but that they should look forward with one eye, having one faith and one baptism, having their hearts knit together in unity and in love one towards another.
My favorite part is 'Having their Hearts knit together in unity and love one towards another'.
Our family can only be successful in our goals if we are working together!!!
So that will be our focus this year :)
After dinner, we headed home and then we made plans for us to do in January to help makes our goals successful.
We plan to do the same each month.
I am pretty excited about it all :)
Then Madi and Cassi went and hung out with friends, and the little ones and mom and dad went and did some hot tubbing at the Morgan's house.
They are in Mexico, and we are taking care of their dogs and they said we could use the hot tub when we want :)
It was nice and relaxing.
Elsie chose not to, so she sat inside and played some games.
I know she would love it if we could get her in!
She will get in the hot tub in Hawaii, and I sure she would love it!
It would be SOOOOO good for her tight muscles!!!!!!
I think it turned out to be a really nice first day of the year.....even though it is crazy that it is already 2018!!!!!!!!!
(The boys got some football bonding time too :)
