We headed to the Tillamook forest today.

We went to the Tillamook Forest center.

There was lots of cool info and Brent just loves that kind of stuff!

There was lots of stuff about forest fires.

They had three forest fires, 6 years between each of them......back in 1939, 1945, 1951.

After the last fire, the forest was gone!

They brought busloads of people in.

Inmates, boy scouts, girl scouts, church groups, school classes came in and planted millions of 3 ft tall Douglas furs.....and that is what the forest is now!!!!

Kind of amazing!

There was also am insane amount of seeds dropped by helicopters too.

Kind of a cool story.

So that was fun.

Then we drove in to the city of Tillamook and went to the cheese factory.

We had cheese samples and giant ice cream cones....and grilled cheese sandwiches.

It was a fun time....but we may have gotten a little sick :(

We drove back to Andy and Katie's house, it was about an hour drive.

We were all so exhausted when we got home.

The men and girls got dressed up to go do baptisms at the temple.......on the way there, they called.

Lucky they did, because they were told it was packed and they couldn't be fit them in.

So they turned around and came home :(

Bummer......

So we all headed to the park here in Katie and Andy's backyard.

It was a nice evening.

Except Madi isn't feeling great....she actually threw up after our car ride home.

I am sure it is just a mixture of not eating good and too much driving.....I am hoping we don't get Katie's little ones sick!!!!!!!

So we will head home tomorrow.

I think we are all ready to get home, but we have had such a nice time here.

We really just love this little family that Katie and Andy have.

And Oregon has been just beautiful!!!!
