So, I have been wanting large planter boxes in the front of the house for quite some time......
Dad hasn't been so sure of the plan, unsure of what it would look like.
I finally convinced him that it would make a great Mother's day present!
Bonus, he got to use the tractor!!!!!
I am loving how it is turning out :)
Like I really love it and I am so excited to fill it with Lilac bushes, and peony plants, and pretty flowers!!!!
He is a good sport to do this for me.
He kinda spoils me......
So that is what he worked on today, after he did some errands running around getting supplies, etc.
I went and helped at Elsie's art smart.
Then I had to get YW stuff ready.
We had a fun mother daughter activity planned.
We went to set up at 5, but there was no one at the church!!!!!
So while we waited for the key, I ran to Walgreens to pick up cute pictures of the girls and their moms when they were younger.
But I ran to walgreens at the wrong time of day!!!!!!
It took about 45 minutes to make the 10 minute drive during rush hour :(
Plus is was 84 degrees outside!!!!!!
Luckily I had people to help me set stuff up.
And it was a really fun night.
We filled out some questions about each other......like what is your favorite food your mom cooks?
Or what is your moms favorite sonic drink :)
It was fun and it was also fun to see how well we knew each other!!!!!
One of the questions was, What was your daughters favorite birthday?
I wrote for Madi that her 16th birthday was her favorite........the one she has yet to have :)
And what did she answer????
Her 16th birthday :)
Anyway...it was a lot of fun!
Then we did a trivia slideshow that spanned the generations from when moms were younger to now, and we had to guess what they were.
So it had a picture of M.A.S.H. and we had to answer what it was, then it had a picture of Justin Beiber, and you had to guess him.
There was some fun trivia that went along with each slide as well.
So that was a lot of fun :)
I would say the night was a success.
And the pictures of the moms and daughters was really fun for everyone to look at :)
When we came home, Dad had the little ones ready for sleep and the right side flower box all perfect.
I love it so much.
Maybe if I love it enough, he will start loving it too......
Maybe.....
