Happy Easter!!!!!
So I always forget that we do a scavenger hunt for the kids to find their goodies......while collecting Easter eggs.
That is a tradition that comes from Brent's side and I love it....I just never think of it until the night before when I am getting everything put together, and he asks about the scavenger hunt :)
So he is always good to write the riddles and hide the stuff.
I know the kids love it!
We ended with a picture of Christ for each kid.
My new favorite tradition is a framed picture of Christ.
I just started last year, but I really love it.
I love the one I got for each of the kids........but I think my favorite match was the one I got for Cassi.
The child reminds me of a younger Cassi.....and with some sleep anxiety stuff she has had recently, I love the comfort that picture brings!
So we had the fun scavenger hunt, then read a beautifully illustrated book that I got last year about Christ and those last few days.
It is called 'This is Jesus' with artwork from J. Kirk Richards.
I made some pancakes for breakfast then we all got ready for church.
The girls left early for ward choir, they performed today :)
It was a beautiful day at church where the spirit was felt very strong in all of the classes I attended.
Something kind of fun today....Brent now has three team teachers for his class.
That means that every once in a while, he can come with me to Sunday school!
Yay!
So he came with me today :)
After church we got going on our Easter feast and the kids enjoyed the weather outside.
After dinner, we went back outside and played with bunnies, bubbles, Porter's kite and Elsie's new ball :)
I am grateful for this Holiday.
For the chance to focus more on the sacrifice that Christ made for us so we could live again.
He lived, died and then lived again so we may ALL live again.
'Oh death, where is thy sting?'
