I helped in Elsie's art smart class today.
They learned about George Catlin, and he painted a lot of the Native American Indians.
Each of the kids had one of George Catlin's painting to try and replicate.
Now Elsie is usually an abstract artist......and I absolutely love the way she draws stuff!
So it was a challenge to try and get her to draw a human face :)
But I gave her some guide lines and some step by step instructions......and I just love how it turned out!
They each named their Indians and Elsie chose hers to be the "buffalo Whisperer".
I should have taken a picture of the final product.
But it was awesome!
While I was gone, dad worked outside and fixed some more shingles that were coming off the back of the house.
Madi and I went to the High school track meet to support some of our friends :)
The Schuler girls are awesome to watch run!
And Madi desperately wants to try and get on the team......she says that it's not too late.
I guess we will see.....
Then this evening, Dad and I went on a date.
We just went tot he Ram, as usual.
But it was yummy and fun and a night out.
We also stopped by RC Willey to see if we could find a couch we could both like......because ours are getting pretty worn.
There is a hole in one of the cushions.....I need to try and fix it.
But it is leather....so that is a tough one.
It is just too hard to find something we both like!!!!!!
I need to try and squeeze as much life out of these as I can!!!!
