So guess what????
Got a 5:30 text this morning informing us that school was cancelled.
Not necessarily a 'snow' day...more of an 'ice' day!
All the main roads are fine...but the neighborhoods and school parking lots are like ice skating rinks!!!!!
It was pretty crazy!
Elsie had already woken up at that point.
I figured there was no reason to try and get her back to sleep.
Port was also up at about 5.
Well, he came in my room at about 5 asking if I had heard if it was a snow day yet.
I made him lay down in my bed and that is when we heard Elsie.....I took my phone with me to check on her and that is when I got the text.
I told the big girls that school was cancelled and then planned to take Elsie down to watch a movie.
But she started laughing.
Like non-stop, total giggle, uncontrollable laughing!
I kept shutting her back in her room because I wanted everyone to be able to go back to sleep.....especially Porter!
Well.....that didn't happen.
After a 10 minute laughing fit, I finally got her to calm down and we turned on Tarzan.
Cass and Port joined us because they were wide awake.
Madi was awake too, she just chose to stay in her bed.
After about an hour, I decided to go lay back down in my bed because I was so tired!
Then dad finally came home from work.
I went and got a good workout done.
I also called Elsie's PT about rescheduling so we didn't have to wait until 4 to go in.
She got us in for 12.
Then I got a text from Elsie's friends mom asking if she wanted to go to the Aquarium with Brooke.
Elsie was so excited.
And it just so happens that Elsie's PT is right across from the aquarium.
So we planned to meet up there after PT.
Cass went with me to PT to help more at Katie's office.
Elsie worked hard and did a great job.
We met up at the aquarium, only to find out.....it was closed!!!!!
I was talking to her mom, asking if Brooke wanted to come to our house, when the aquarium lady came out and apologized for being closed and gave us free family pass tickets to come back!!!!
How cool, right!?!?!
So, we grabbed Brooke, and we headed home.
But first we grabbed some hot cocoa for the girls, and one for Avery too, because we went and picked her up.
The girls all had fun doing their own things.
The girls all had fun doing their own things.
Port and Dad went and returned Port's broken Christmas gifts to exchange for another.
And they ended up coming home with a Nintendo system that plays all the old Nintendo games.
Port is very excited....my other boy is pretty excited too :)
Madi was at the Morgan's all day making a snow fort and sledding with friends.
We all came home together for dinner, homework and then FHE.
Sooooooo......now the big question.....
Will there be school tomorrow???????????
