Dustin Keith Matthews you such a little turkey!!!!!!!
Dang kid hacked into my blog!!!!
I have a certain photo that you may not want to make its rounds on the Internet....so you better watch it, bub!
For your information, I am always ENJOYING America's birthday so much that the celebrating runs so late into the night I am unable to blog......I think that shows just HOW patriotic I am!!!!
*******
Anyway.......it was a good day today.
Dad left a little after 7:30 to go do his test.
He got home about 1......and he thinks things went well.
I am glad that portion of the test is over, he still has the interview to do, but it is good to have this part done with.
While he was gone, the kids and I got going on Saturday chores.
Once dad was home, we had lunch.
Cass made a bunch of deviled eggs for everyone, yummy!
Then I left for a run, Cass and dad went and worked on fences, and Madi took the little ones to the school park.
I am going to try and up my Saturday runs.....so today I did 8!
Yay!
I stopped at the school to get a drink from the drinking fountain and say 'hi' to the little ones there.
Got home and Dad and Cassi had almost all the posts in!
They are a good team together.
I had to hurry and shower and get to the church to set up for the ward talent show.
The YW were doing silent auctions during it to earn girls camp money.
Madi had a couple paintings for sale and also a custom painting, of the buyers choice.
Cassi had 3 guitar lessons up for auction.
They each got like $50 a piece for their stuff....
They don't get the money, it goes in the pool.
Our hope was to get at least $1200, to cover the cost we usually get from helping Iron man.
Iron man left Boise, so we lost our camp fundraiser!!!!!
Anyway....this auction was so much fun!
We had 4 big items that were auctioned off by a real auctioneer!
A snow cone shack for 3 hours (run by YW)
A pool party for up to 15 people (games, life guarding and treats provided by YW)
A photo shoot (assistance from YW)
And a 12 person river rafting trip (with lunch packed by YW)
The raft trip sold for $1800!!!!!!
They ended up selling it to 6 different couples for $300 each!!!!!
So we blew our goal out of the water!!!!!
I am excited to hear the final number!
Anyway....so the talent show was a lot of fun too.
Madi took art to display, and Cassi played the guitar and sang.
A few weeks ago, Cassi invited the Edwards family to go watch.
And they came tonight!
That was a lot to fun to have them there.
Max was excited...he told me, 'This is my first time EVER being in a church!'
Hope he had fun and wants to come again :)
