Brent and I have been wanting to get to the temple for a while now.
So today, we decided to actually go.
One problem.
My temple dress zipper has been broken for a while now.
I ordered a new dress online.
But when I got it, it is kind of a purple tinted white.
It looks like a white dress that got washed with some purple clothes.
Bummer, because I really liked the dress.
So I didn't have a dress.
So we went to Deseret book before we went to the temple.
Except, it didn't open until 10.
So we sat int he parking lot waiting for it to open :)
I went in, found a skirt to go with my white cardigan I had and Brent found a new tie.
Hopped in the car and Brent asked me to take the tie out of the plastic wrap and stick it in his temple bag, so he wouldn't forget to take it.
So like a good little wife, I did :)
We get in there and I am getting ready to change.......except I forgot to put my skirt in!!!!!!
Are you kidding me!
And Brent was already in the dressing room, with the keys to the locked car.
I went out to ask if there was someone who could fetch him for me.....to get the keys.
But a super nice lady helped me out and just told me where to go to get a spare dress there in the temple.
When I came out ready to go, Brent was just smiling, because my lady friend had already told him about my panic :)
Many obstacles.....but we were there.
We made it there.
On the drive there, Brent said something about just needing the peace that the temple brings.
And that is just what it did for us.
Peace.
I am so thankful we were able to get there.
Even though it took a much larger chunk of the day than we had anticipated!
It was a beautiful experience in the temple and I treasure the time I get to be there.
After that, Brent took me to a late lunch to Olive Garden.
That always ends up being our temple date food place :)
We got home and Dad put the new motor in my dryer and all seems to be working now!
Yay!
Even though I think I will still use the line dry sometimes :)
I picked the little ones from school.
Elsie bug ran the mile today.
So proud of her!
Her sweet friend, Brooke, had a little yellow flower for her each time she made a lap in the track.
That Brooke is such a great friend to Elsie!
Makes me so happy.
Then it was time to go for Port's game.
It was a fun one.
They did lose (20-32), but man, they were playing a pretty stacked team!!!!!
And a team you could tell had been playing together for years!
And they were all a head taller than most our boys!
I was super proud of these boys.
Port did awesome as quarter back today.
I had so much fun watching, I didn't get very many pictures.......
It was like 80 degrees today!
Yikes!
It was so nice!
Everyone is so happy about this nice weather though.
Love it!!!
After the game we got the kids some dinner from Wendy's
Dad and I were still full from our late lunch!
We also stopped and got ice cream from Walgreen's and while we were at it, bought the blue-ray of the new Star Wars.
So that is what we watched tonight.
Madi went to Sonic with her friend Abby though, so she didn't watch it.
Poor Madi and Sydney were in a fender bender this morning.
Luckily they dealt with all nice people.....
But Poor Madi said she just could not stop the water works!
But she calmed down and went to school anyway.
Poor girl.
But a fender bender is a good way to learn an important lesson.......pay attention!
There was some car driving up on the lawn and Sydney looked at that for a split second and hit the car in front of them :(
But they are all safe and sound, so that is good.
