Saturday October 17

It was a nice productive day today :)

Got laundry done and put away and more done.

Kids tidied up their rooms.

Madi mowed the lawn.

I got to get a good run.

Dad got a lot more trim put up.

He trimmed around the pantry door way.

Not sure what to make it look like when we put up the pantry door which will be a barn sliding type door, but for now this finishes off the look nicely!

We also finally covered up the big vent hole in the living room.

It was an odd size and we couldn't find anything to fit it.

So we bought some decorative metal, cut it to size, spray painted it, and framed it out.

I think it looks just great :)

We went between painting it white or the ribbed bronze that the doorknobs are.

I like this....but from a far it just loos black......

I wonder if I painted inside the vent white, what that would look like?

Thoughts???

He brought the thermostat up from downstairs, which will be really nice :)

It was quite the job to do, but he did it great!

Dad also had time to make some new shark fins for Port's robot shark that lost his fin.

Cassi went babysitting about 4:30.

Then Dad and I and Port left to take him to a party at Kleiner park at 5.

We didn't want to drive home and then drive back to pick him up, so we went out to dinner :)

We went to Famous Daves then we had enough time to go to Target.

Picked Port up just as it was starting to rain.

He had a fun time.

Madi and Elsie just hung out together while we were gone :)

It was a nice day and I feel like we got a lot done.

I like days like that!

I'm sure no one will hire us to do their floors, but we sure love them.
