Tuesday June 9

Today was a pretty packed day :)
Dad let me sleep in a bit.....and then at about 7:45 (yep, that's sleeping in when you have a boy named Porter!)....I woke up and wanted to make sure Madi was up.
She is going to the Morgans house each morning this week to babysit the little ones while she and Carley and Avery are playing in New York.
So Madi was off.....then I decided to go for a run.
I wanted to get out before it was too hot!
It has been so crazy hot the last couple days!!!!!
While I was running, I got a text from Joanne saying she was sorry she was late, but she would be there in 10 minutes!
Ahhh!!!!
So I ran home, fast :)
Just in time for Joanne to show up.
Elsie worked hard for her in speech.
I think it works so much better to have therapies in the mornings, instead of after school....
She's just not as tired and worn out!
Madi and Cassi mowed the lawns and weed whacked today.
It's great to have that done!
Dad and I (and Port) got started on tiling the bathroom shower this today.
It took a while just because they are pretty small tiles.....but it looks so great!
We took a break around 1 so I could run Cassi to her last appointment at the concussion clinic.
Dr. Neufeld (who is just a super funny nice guy) said she was lucky, the last guy he had in, he was making him write a paper about why you should wear your seat belt.
He said that since Cassi wasn't coming back, she was off the hook.
But then he changed his mind.
He told her that she and Madi both need to write a 2 page paper and send it into him :)
He was joking :)
Half joking....
He wants them to know how really serious it could have been and how lucky they were that they weren't injured more.
Or killed.
Because we truly are lucky that things were not worse off than what happened.
When I got home, Dad and Porter had finished up the side wall and started tiling the side with the shelves.
Once we reached the shelves area, we decided to go to Lowe's to see if they had corner pieces.
While we were gone, the Girls washed the car :)
Well, it looks like Elsie just bathed in the washing tub.
They had fun.
We got home, and had dinner.
And we started to think about tiling some more....but we were both tired and wiped out.
So instead we went and watched a Netflix movie named 1000-1: Corey Weissman story.
Oh my goodness!
So good!
I think we had a pretty great day!
I like days where you feel accomplished in what you get done!
