 I wish that I could say everyone slept in........

That would be dreamy!

But no :(

Maybe we need a few weeks of summer under our belts before they start sleeping in......

So we got the beds made and kids dressed.

Madi, Cassi and Porter went to Mary Mac to long board.

Madi says she has fun pictures of them....she just hasn't sent them yet :)

I think it has been great for them to get out, and it seems like they get a long really well when they are doing it.

I did get to go for a run.

When I got home, the kids came home and little after we had Kyra and cannon over to play.

While they played I worked on my lesson for tomorrow.

I can;t explain how much I really dislike having to teach in front of all the YW.

I am not a teacher!

I do not do well at it.

But it is part of my calling, and I am a rule follower :) 

And I do as I'm told.

I hope it goes well.

I am nervous :(

Anyway....

Then we got the kids doing some chores.

Got some trash picked up from the front of the house.

The big girls got the back deck swept off.

There is still a bunch of junk there that needs to be cleaned up.

A little at a time.

Someday it will all be done :)

I painted some of the trim along the stairs.

It looks really good.

But i realized I used the wrong paint!

I had the same color, just in a glossier sheen, so it would stand out a bit more from the wall.

I kept thinking it didn't seem any different.

Well, cause it wasn't :(

I grabbed the wrong gallon of paint!

Oh well, I don't think it will be a big deal to do a layer over it.

But it still looks so good nice and white.

I just LOVE these stairs.

Makes me feel loved and happy every time I see them :)

It really was the most amazing gift to receive from our ward.

One of the many many things they have done for us!

Dad worked on getting the cement board fixed how it needs to be for the shower to be tiled.

That might be the next project.

Maybe....

Who knows :)

Since we won't get counter tops until into July, dad decided to bring a temporary sink in.

He pulled the one out of his shop because it was WAY lighter than the one we pulled out originally.

And I didn't want to put the new one in until we have the counter tops about ready to go in.

It's not very pretty right now....but it works!

So it will be so nice to have a sink in there.

I had to take a picture of him under the sink.

He is so ready for that brace to be gone!!!!

But I, for one, am glad he is still in it.

Because he DOES NOT know how to take it easy!

I made some cookies tonight after dinner.

The kids thought it was great.

And I loved using my new oven for it :)

Now we just need a cook top :(

We may just bring the old one up for a little bit.

But we have to put it in the old spot, cause that is where the hookup is.....

So we will have to pull a cabinet out.

I don't know.

Maybe we need to just set up a camp grill outside the doors.

I wish there was a portable counter top cook top to use!!!!

The table is actually in the spot that the island will be....

But there is a cord sticking out to hook up an outlet in the island, and we all kept tripping over it!

So when we set the kitchen table up, we put it in this spot so we won't keep tripping!
