Tuesday January 13

I had to literally drag Porter from the car to the classroom this morning :(
It is getting harder and harder every day.
He follows me around throughout the day, aking sure he knows where I am at all times.
I don't know what the best thing is to do.
Poor boy just wants to feel safe.
Maybe he is making sure I'm safe.
I don't know....
But it breaks my heart to leave him crying every morning.
I know he gets over it quick, but it is still hard.
Oh, and to make things even better, as I am dragging Porter in the school, Elsie starts crying, saying she doesn't want to go to school.
She had a late night, and also woke up around 3 and didn't go back to sleep for a while., so she was tired and grumpy...
Mrs. Reaman, her morning aide, heard her crying (and port's cries :) and came out and helped by getting Elsie to class.
We love Mrs. Reaman....such a sweetheart!
She she took Elsie to class....crying.
I pulled Port over to class and finally got him in the classroom, where Mrs. Grayson came and got him from me and told me to leave.
I am not gonna lie, I was a sweat ball.....he is getting strong, and he was fighting with every ounce of his strength!
But, again when I picked him up, everything was hunky dory, and he had a great day at school.
While Port was in class, Dad and i went to do some shopping, looking for vanities and stove tops and ovens.....
Not much luck.
Everything I saw, I could only see what I wanted to do with it to make it how I wanted it.....
It is kind of a curse to always want to redo everything :)
But nothing pre-made is exactly how I want it!
So we are still on the hunt.
Once the girls came home from school, Elsie had speech, then we made then ate dinner and I jumped in the shower so I could go to the RS activity.
It was a lot of fun.
They did a speed-friendshipping game.
It sis fun to get to know people a little bit better :)
Dad had the homework all done with the kids and the dishes done when I got home.
He is doing good.
Still probably doing too much, but he is feeling good and anxious to get moving!
*****
Tomorrow is our 15 year anniversary.
We had talked about going to the temple....which we both really want to do.
BUT.....not sure how easy things will be for Brent.
Also, there is the boy.
With it being late start tomorrow, we wouldn't be able to drop the kids off, get to the temple, and get back before he is out of school.
So I talked to him about what we could do, and options for people to pick him up.
I have been talking about it for a few days now.....
He has been worried sick about it.
I finally decided that we would wait until the weekend, when Madi could be home with the kiddos and we can go without worries.
I told him that tonight, when I was tucking him in bed.
I could just feel his sigh of relief.
After a few minutes he said "Thanks for doing that, Mom."
So although it would be a perfect thing for us to do to celebrate our anniversary, it felt right for me to make sure my boy felt safe and secure.
And we will go this weekend for sure.
