Got the kids off to school and we ran to Lowes to get a few supplies.....

Then came home and got started on the back dormers.

Things were moving along just great.

Then there was a bit of an accident :(

I was holding house wrap up against the side of the dormer while dad was doing the stapling.

Well, he got the first staple set, then I must have pulled my hand down to flatten the house wrap, to the exact place that he was stapling...with the hammer stapler.

It could have been way worse!

I hurried and pulled my hand down, like one does when it is smashed.

The glove was left stapled to the dormer wall.

I can't even tell you how sick he was about it.

He ran me into the house to try and see what he could do for me to make it feel better.

It was pretty darling, if you ask me.

After a while of trying to relieve the pressure, we went back outside to work some more.

Then I picked up Port from school.

Picked up Cannon too so his mom could do some grocery shopping.

When she was done, she came and picked the boys up.

And Brent took me out on a lunch date.

We could not decide where to go.

We ended up going to Olive Garden....which is kinda funny.....we never go there.

I guess a nice change of scenery :)

It was fun to get out for a little bit.

I turned my black nail into a heart.....it looked like a little heart to me, just needed a little evening out.

So I grabbed a pen and made it pretty  <3 p="">

We are starting a new homework thing.

I am setting the hour between 6 and 7 aside for homework.

I kind of feel like I am failing these kids in school.

I need to read more with Elsie, I need to work more on Porters letters, and Cassi needs practice with her math facts.

Madi is doing good.....but it is nice for her to get homework done earlier than 9!

So today went good.

I think I am gonna like it.

They will do good with the routine, and I think it is just what I need.

While the kids were doing homework, dad was out leaning up.

We bought ourselves a heavy duty magnet to pick up nails and screws around the lawn.

The picture I took was all he got in just one roll across the front of the house.

He got a ton more.

I am surprised we have only had one flat tire so far!!!!

After homework.....we made some rice crispy pumpkins.

We got 'Boo'ed' last night (Which Cannon blew the cover by telling me it was them :) , and tonight was our turn.

It was a lot of fun.

Of course we made some for Bubbles and the Edwards.

As we were walking home, we saw a van pull up to our house.

Madi ran ahead to see who is was.

It was someone in our ward....boo'ing us again.

The kids had already ran out, looking for a door, and their mom told Madi to just pretend we didn't see them :)

Even though we told her we were already boo'ed :)

Oh well.

Guess we need to do something else tomorrow.......
