Tuesday August 12

Oh what a day.
Brent and I left early this morning to take Brent to get his second cortisone shot.
We are very hopeful that it will work and help him feel 100%.
We came home for a little while, then we decided that it was time to get my arm/neck checked out.
We took Port, and Brent came with me.
So.....it's a labrum thing.
And my neck has been so bad because of the way I am trying to compensate for the loss of strength :(
She gave me some stuff to do in the way of PT, and was told to take it easy for two weeks.
She asked if she needed to write a note to Foreman Matthews for me to have time-off.
Brent said she must not know who is really in charge ;)
I have a sling now, to help keep the arm from hanging, so the muscles can really rest......
It's a great house remodeling accessory, NOT!
So then we went and got lunch and went to Lowes to pick up the shingles.
While we were gone, a big wind blew in.
As we drove up to the house, we saw tar paper ripped off everywhere.
Flying in the wind and covering the ground :(
It was a sick feeling.
It was a big bummer.
So, we couldn't rest, like we were supposed to.
Madi, our neighbor Billy, and I rolled up what we could from the ground.
Brent hopped up on the roof to staple down what he could before more blew off.
Once he got that done, we started to hand him up the biggest pieces we could.
I ran to the store for more staples and more paper.
We almost got it done.....a few more spots on the back.
We were planning to put the shingle packages up there to help hold down spots......
But there is too much of a slant to the roof, they won't stay on!
Brent works tomorrow and Thursday, because he swapped so we can go to the ward campout on Friday and Saturday.
So we are just praying and hoping that it is good enough for when we can get to it on Monday!
Oh....the night did end in a rainbow.
So that was nice :)
