It was a very productive day today.

I didn't run, because the air was filled with smoke and I didn't feel like coughing the whole time :(

Cass and I went out in the garden and did some weeding and collected a bunch of veggies.

The tomatoes are getting close....makes me excited!

I have lost my zucchini plants, which bums me :(

But we harvested kale, green beans, cucumbers, squash, red potatoes 2 tiny carrots (carrots did not fair well where I planted them) and a couple cherry tomatoes.

I sent a lot home with the workers who were out here working on the house today.

Later on, the big girls collected more apricots and we made more jam.

This time I blended it up so it wouldn't be chunky.

It worked out great.

We also made some nectar.

My friend told me she does that....blend it, then cook it down with some sugar.

Then when you want to use it, you just add the jar with two more jars of water and you have a yummy apricot juice.

I think we will make more tomorrow.

I hate to lose so many good apricots if I can preserve it!

And the nectar is super easy!

There were great times of kids playing today, and not so great.

But more of the great times...

Cassi and Port pretended to be professional bug catchers while catching grasshoppers and other bugs around the place.

While they were doing that, Elsie and Madi were playing Americas Got Talent with the judges being Elsie's stuffed 'cousins' watching :)

We took a little afternoon walk to return Bubbles dishes from the dinner she brought us a couple days ago.

Visited for a little bit.

Port was out on the deck using Bubbles  hose up there to water her flowers and it kinda got away from him....and got him all wet.

Then he got crazy with it.

I only captured the last little bit of it, but he had us rolling in laughter inside the house :)

We got home and walked around to check out what the guys built today.

Then I decided to go and take Elsie's baptism pictures...so I can make invitations.

I wanted to do it today anyway, but the smoke in the air was ruining the nice 'sun going down' thing I was going for.....

But it was still a pretty night.

It took some convincing to get her to do it.

She was tired and it was getting late.

But I think they turned out beautiful :)
