Friday July 11

Heather sent me a text early this morning telling me to bring the kids to her house while I went to the doctor appointment.
Isn't she the greatest!
Heather, your the best :)
The kids were so excited!
We packed up all their swimming stuff and headed out.
After my appointment, I joined them in the pool.
Nice to just relax and cool off.
And it was a hot one today!
We stayed there until about 2:00....so that was a fun day for the kiddos :)
Came home and they all cleaned their rooms up.
And they did a good job!
I made a small batch of apricot jelly.
It is yummy....didn't set up as much as I would have liked, but it still works.
I will try a different recipe next time and hopefully it will work better.
And I need to get some small jam jars too.
After we had dinner, I went out to turn some water on in the garden (which, by the way, I think I have lost my zucchini plants, and it really bums me out!!!)
I saw Labrado (He is the one working with Bob on the framing) and his little family over by the goats.
I went over to talk with them.
He told her she should bring the kids out to see the animals after work.
It was fun getting to know his little family.
His wife was super talkative and so nice!
Labrado is very quiet and his wife is quite the opposite.
We talked about a whole bunch of things......from her being scared of horses since she was 10 to talking about natural childbirth :)
She was a funny one.
They ended up going home with two baby bunnies!
It was a fun night.
The floor got done today.
The progress over the last couple days have not been as visible.....
I know it takes a lot of time to attach each of the floorboard to the trusses.
Plus he had to attach the walls from the existing main level to the floor trusses of the new part, because when we ripped the roof off, we saw that the walls we were going to knock out inside, are actually load bearing walls.
So he braced it for us so we can still knock the walls out with out any trouble :)
I don't know what the plan is to work on tomorrow......but I am hoping it will be dormers!!!!!!!
