Tuesday May 13

So this is the project Madi is working on.
She already has a bunch because she got an early start over Easter weekend when we were with family.....
But Madi is collecting stuffed animals.
The fire department....well, at least dads, carry stuffed animals on the fire trucks and they give them to little kids when they go on calls.
Well, Madi thought she would help them out with their load.
This started out with a little 4 hour project for school, but has become much bigger.
She plans to use this as one of her YW personal progress projects too.
Madi has been talking with the principal and counselor at the elementary school here....
And she has out a bin out at the office, and she went and handed out flyers to all the classes today when she got home from school.
She's a good kid.
*****
I went to a RS activity tonight.
It was a talk by Carlene Tanner about the righteous roles of woman.
It was so good and some great reminders of how great woman are and how we should help uplift each other and those around us.
It was a great reminder of how I can do better in my own home.
But also to be a little less hard on ourselves.....
She did a little exercise and wanted us all to write two things that we are remarkable at.
It was hard.
Then she commented that if she asked us to write down two things we could do better....we would have no problem writing that list.
How can we be the best for those around us if we don't accept the amazing things the lord has given us to bless the lives around us.
Anyway, maybe I am not making sense....but it was a great night and I feel like I really needed it.
