Thursday May 15

We got the girls off to school, and got to work on the yard.
Brent buried a pipe in the front ditch, so he got that all covered up...it's gonna look nice without the ditch along the front yard.
And we started some irrigation fun :)
You wouldn't believe the amount of water we get now through the pipe instead of the ditch.
Good work dad.
He is pretty dang handy, you know :)
*****
My friend, April, called to see it maybe her husband could borrow our 'beautiful and wonderful and ever so handy' dump truck.
(See Dussy boy, I LOVE it!)
Anyway...her husband sells bucket trucks and she asked if we wanted to use it.
We have this tree in the back yard that is a terrible looking tree.
With half of it dead.
We would just cut it all down, but it is a great source of shade right now.
So until we get another one planted by it...this one if staying for a while.
So we swapped trucks and Brent got to cutting.
I can't tell you how happy it made me :)
Not only that is was SOOO much faster...
But it did my heart good not having to watch Dad strap himself up in the tree with the chainsaw.
It is still an ugly tree :)
But now most of the dead stuff is gone, so that is good.
I mowed the rest of the lawns.....
There is so much grass!
But it sure looks pretty all cut and green.
*****
Then we got our handy dandy sprinkler system out :)
It really does make me happy.
I don't know why.
It's a headache......and takes time...
But something about it just makes me smile when I see those big blue hoses spread across the place with 50 million small hoses and sprinklers going in different directions.
And little streams cut into the rock to guide the water to where it needs to go.
I love it.
