Saturday March 15

Today went by so fast!!!!

I was up early with Porter....no sleeping in for him :(

We got some chores done in the morning.

Madi and I went for a run together.

She did a really good job for not running for a long time.

It will be fun for us to start running together in the summer time.....that's not too far off :)

We collected some heart rocks after the run while we sat and cooled off.

So I know the ones on the right side don't look like hearts, but they are tipped a bit.

I love my heart rocks :)

I ran (not ran ran, I actually drove) to the store to get stuff to make some strawberry shortcakes for our dinner thing later on.

Our ward puts little dinner groups together for people to get to know each other better.

I was assigned to bring dessert.

After making the shortcake, I got Elsie ready to go to Alex's birthday party.

It was a fun party.

And Elsie was excited to see Alex again and also to meet their new puppy, Juniper :)

We had to leave the party early because I had to get back home to get ready to go to our dinner group.

Then dad and I headed off.

It was funny, we could see our house from the dinner table we ate at.

They just live right across the big field from us :)

Our group had a younger couple who have small kids, us, a couple with one daughter still at home going high school, and another couple that was an older couple, empty nesters.

So it was fun to have a broad range of people to get to know that you probably wouldn't otherwise.

It was just the couples dinner, so not the kids.

Madi babysat for us.

So it was a fun day and a fun night :)

Oh, and you can tell you have been having a lot of house remodel talks around the house when you kid (Cassi) draws her own house plans on the etch-a-sketch :)
