Monday March 3

Well, Happy Birthday to me :)
It was a great day today.
We got up, Madi made muffins, sweet girl.
Then when we were all up, we opened presents.
I need to take pictures of everything they gave me.
I got beautiful paintings from them :)
And a heart rock poster thing that Madi and Port did together.
Emmy gave me the cutest pillow with a heart in the center (oh, I have a thing for heart, by the way :)
And the pillow is made from the fabrics of the family tree wall hanging she made for me for Christmas.
I love them!
Madi made me the most darling dolls!
One for each of my little kids.
I told her that I would pay her to make me a Mom and Dad one, and she said those are for Mothers Day :)
Anyway, I love them!
I got a 10:50 appointment for Elsie today.
Turns out she has Rhinitis (sp?)
The swelling of the mucous membranes, or something like that.....
She was given a nasal steroid spray and we are supposed to check back in a month to see if is it shrinking, and then Dr. Allie will decide if she wants Elsie to see and ENT or not.
Speaking of Dr. Allie.
She really is amazing.
Looking so good.
She just had chemo last Thursday, so she said that tomorrow will be her worst day, so today she was really tired and having a lot of bone pain.
But she said she has only had to miss one day of work since missing Chemo.
She is just amazing, and such a sweet loving a caring person.
She said it's the kids that keep her going.
She just loves her job and loves the kids she gets to work with.
She amazes me and I am thankful to know her.
Then I took Elsie home and met up with my best of friends, Heather and Jenni.
We met at Costa Vida for lunch.
I am so lucky to have two such amazing women as friends.
I have learned so much from each of them and I am blessed to have them in my life.
Thank you ladies....I don't know how I forgot to take a picture :(
I got home and was ordered by Porter to stay out.
But I convinced him to at least let me come in the house and maybe go in the office......
They were making me a secret cake.
A secret heart cake that dad made with a mold he formed form a sprinkler pipe :)
I love it!
Port knew exactly how he wanted the 'princess heart cake' to be.
I think the outcome was fantastic!
After picking Cassi up from jump rope practice (where she made a new personal record) we all got cleaned up and ready to go out to Red Robin for my birthday dinner.
Good stuff.
But before we left, I convinced them that I needed a family picture :)
And they all happily agreed, since it's my birthday and all!
Then after Red Robin it was cake and ice cream and FHE and in to bed.
It was a wonderful day and I am thankful for all the awesome people who helped make it a great day!
