What a late night this turned out to be.
It was 'New Beginnings' for Madi in Young Womans tonight.
Parents were invited, and since dad is working, it was just me.
I took Porter over to Canon's house and left Cassi and Elsie here at home.
I took Stacia and her girls with us and went to the church.
It was a nice evening.
Madi was asked to say the opening prayer!
She did a great job, but kinda got mad at me when I tried to tell her when to start walking up......
I was embarrassing her :)
Gotta love it!
The evening was about Young Womans, then and now.
They talked about what it used to be like and the different goals they used to have.
Some fun ones were:
-Keep and care for a bee hive for one season
-Clear a 1/2 acre of brush
-Destroy flies in the house, appox. 25 a day.
-Get 9 hours of beauty rest
and other fun ones like that.
It was pretty funny.
And then they showed pictures of the mom's when they were Young Womans.
And then a slide show of the girls now.
I feel bad.
I got the email late....well I got it on time, but it was in my junk mail.
I didn't know about sending the pictures until today when Stacia told me about it.
I sent a bunch in.
I sent some of me and some of Madi.
The ones of me made it int he show (oh yay....) but the ones of Madi weren't.
I am not sure how that happened.....kind of sad.
She's the cute one :)
Each girl got a rose too.
There was a sweet talk given by the Young Womans president.
The YW pres is so sweet.
She comes from a family with 7 little brothers and then has 4 boys of her own.
She deserves to spend some time with the beautiful Young Woman in our ward.
Anyway, then we went to the R.S. room for treats and drinks.
And mingle time.
It was the Beehives turn for cleanup.....so it turned into a late night because no one would stop talking and leave!!!!!
So Madi grabbed the vacume and started cleaning.
Good girl :)
So it was around 9 when we started driving the Morgans back home
As we got in the car we saw a Young boy leaving....he was in scouts from a different ward.
We saw him earlier wandering the halls, talking to himself.
Madi knew him, from some of her classes.
She says he talks to himself a lot in school too.
He was just walking outside in the snow fall.
As we drove up to him we asked if he was okay.
He said that someone was supposed to pick him up, but never did.
It broke my heart to hear him, he was kind of emotional about it.
Like it had happened many times before.
Anyway, he said he was walking home, and so we offered him a ride.
He ended up living about 3 miles away!
Poor kid.
He hopped in the car and we offered him cookies :)
And then told the girls that they are never to do this! (you know, pick up strangers in their cars!!!!)
But I am glad we helped him.
It was snowing, and dark, and he was walking down a main road.
Not safe at all.
Well, we got him home and then got to the Morgans house and picked up Porter.
He had fun and thought it was great that he got to play at Canon's at night time!
Got home and Cassi did a good job taking care of Elsie.
I quick got the little ones in their jammies, and cleaned up and brushed, and into bed!
Oh, by the way, Elsie and Porter had their dentist appointment this morning and everything looked good.
We are going to try and take Elsie in next week and try laughing gas to see if we can do sealants and put a spacer where she lost that molar....fun stuff!
Anyway, so the little ones were in bed, and the big ones were finishing up homework!
AHHHHH!
I just want to get to bed!
It will be nice to have dad home tomorrow :)
I miss having him around!
Plus, we have a Temple date tomorrow afternoon.
