Happy Valentines Day.
The day started out with some sweet Valentines treats/gifts/cards to the girls from their Dad, and a treat/gift/card for the boy from his Mama....(purchased by Dad :)
I got sweet cards from my boys, and a pretty heart necklace that I wore all day.
Then I tried to make some heart shaped muffins, that failed.
But still tasted good, just didn't look like hearts.
Elsie has been wanting French braids every day this week......So I told her I could make a heart, and she was so excited!
It turned out pretty good, especially for a wiggly little girl who is very excited to be looking at buffalo pictures on Moms phone :)
After the kids got off to school, we had another meeting with the guy we have been talking about the house remodel with....
He came back with a way high price to have things drawn up.
We were a little bummed.
But after asking around and calling around all day, Brent finally found someone that I think is gonna be perfect.
He and his Dad are both fire fighters.....that do this on their days off.
Brent just called to ask about what rice range we should be looking at, if this other guy was high, or if that is what it's gonna be.....
From the beginning, Brent wanted to use them, but when he talked to his Dad, they seemed pretty busy.
So when it came time to get started, we didn't call them.
We should have to begin with.
I think it will be great to work with them.
So we have a meeting on Tuesday.....hopefully things go well :)
After some down time...I needed a nap :( , we got cleaned up and dressed and headed to Wal-Mart.
I needed to get a gift bag for our party tonight......and Porter got a free donut card from his party yesterday, and he really wanted it.
But we didn't want to drive to Krispy Kremes to get it....so he got a yummy one from Wal-Mart :)
He was a happy boy.
We made a stop by the girls parties at school, and brought them home with us.
When we got home, I started to cut out little heart shapes of sweet potato.
That was what I took to the party tonight.
They were super yummy, and a big hit :)
Madi was a great babysitter, again, and we headed off to our party.
We had a yummy dinner, dessert, played fun games and we came home with some movie tickets.
So I would say it was a good night.
I took some pain pills just before we left....I haven't been taking them too often, except maybe to sleep.
But man, I sure felt good.
No pain in my side, but I did feel a little loopy in the head.......so I will be glad to sleep it off.
But I am glad I felt good enough to enjoy the party.
So Happy Valentines Day!
It was a pretty good one here at the Matthews home :)
