Tuesday January 7

So we got Port's floor done and his bed into his room today.
I still have shelf, bookshelf and desk plans.....and some kind of window coverings and painted trim too.
But for now, he likes his new space :)
The little brown blanket on the end of his bed was my 'inspiration' for the room.
I made the quilt for him before he was born, and I really wanted to keep it as part of his room.
I also have a collection of vintage looking metal vehicles that will be displayed on shelves....
And what I am most excited about, I am gonna paint a world map on the wall by the rocking chair.
Should be really cool :)
The coloring/lighting in these pictures are not very good......
If you look at the before picture at the very bottom, those colors are the real colors.....like the green of the bedspread :)
And speaking of the before shot......pretty sad right?
When we moved it, the room was kind of a yellow cream color.
I found a can of cheap green paint and started painting.
But when I figured it would take like three coats to make it look good, I quit.
Ugly!
And his floor was just cement with glue from carpet being glued down.....
We painted it with paint we have had for years, $5 clearance paint.......and it turned out awesome!
And aren't the stripes on the floor so fun!!!!!
Porter is so excited about having a really big boy bed...
I will be sure to put new pictures as I finish the room.
