It was a beautiful sight this morning.
Something so peaceful and magical to look out and see a blanket of fresh snow cover the farm.
It was so pretty.
The kids were so excited to get out and play.
I made them wait until the sun actually came up.....
They had a lot of fun outside.
Porter didn't last long outside, but he didn't have very good gloves or a good coat that was waterproof.
So he got cold quickly....
Madi shoveled snow and did chores while Cassi and Elsie ran around.
Elsie had so much fun, up until the point that she was done.
And then she was DONE!
Madi and Cassi went to the neighbors and shoveled their walks while I got the little ones warmed up and got them some hot chocolate.
I had a hard time getting them to do much today.
I was so tired because Porter had a bad night.
I swear everyone is getting sick, but no fevers or other signs except for being super grumpy and irritable!
Madi's friend, Carly, came over around 2 because she and Madi teach the lesson tomorrow in Beehives....so they got together to plan it.
It went well for them.
Did not go well for me.
Cassi cleaned her room, which was really bad....and it was hard for me to get her to stick to it.
But the worst was when both Elsie and Porter had meltdowns at the same time....crying for over a half hour.
Oh man.
I felt like someone had to have a 'Kandid Kamera' on me!
I texted Dad and told him I wanted to crawl in a hole :(
At 5:00, I took Carly and Madi to the church because they were helping to set up for our ward Christmas party.
Before they left though, Madi did Cassi's hair super cute.
It was fun for them to get along like that :)
After I dropped them off, I came home, got the little ones ready and went to the party too.
Ya, I went.
I thought maybe having dinner taken care of and people to talk to would make the night go better.
Well, porter and Elsie ran around everywhere.....I dropped their food on the floor trying to carry three plates.....and it was syrup and pancakes, so it wasn't an easy clean-up.
Anyway...I couldn't wait to get out of there.
I left Cassi because her teachers were taking her class to their house after for their class party, watching 17 miracles.
So she got home around 9 after I got the little kids all bathed and in bed....with Madi's help.
Cass was so zonked she fell asleep before I had a chance to make it into her room to read to her and say goodnight.
I sure hope we stay well.
I don't want to be sick :(
But it would be nice to have an excuse for all the grumpiness around here......without it being my fault.

Sorry about all the grumpiness! I blame it on the cold!!!
Madi did a great job on Cassi's hair! The pics from the ward party are fun, even if it wasn't as fun for you! I hope tomorrow will be better! :o)
