Happy Birthday to our sweet Cass!!!!!
We just love having this girl as part of our family.
She keeps things hopping, crazy and musical :)
This girl is one of the best friends you could make.
And she is so sweet and funny and tender.
And she is pretty darn cute too.
She woke up this morning, pretty early.
She has been begging for me to buy her pop tarts for the last few weeks....so I bought her some for her Birthday breakfast :)
She was so excited!
Then she opened her gifts from her siblings.
Her big gift was the Mindy Gledhill concert, of course...
But each of the kids gave her some fun stuff that were thrift store finds.
Porter gave her a little doll, Elsie a cute flower frame, and Madi gave her a nice big music/jewelry box.
She was a happy girl.
Daddy had a gift for her, but he had it at the station.
My gift to her was a CTR ring.
A pretty blue sparkly one.
I hope it doesn't get lost...........
Anyway, we got ready to head to school, and the car was dead.
So we hopped in the Tahoe.....dead!
Ah, man!!!!!
So I called Bubbles and she came to the rescue.
We dropped the kids off and then Port and I came home and Dad talked me through jumping the car with our little portable jumper thingy :)
Yes, I left the lights on.
I am not used to having non-automatic lights!
Whoops....I am sure I will get a hang of it quick.
And the Tahoe, it has been charging all day and still nothing.
The battery has been giving us trouble for the last little while, and then with it getting cold, and not driving it around much....
I don't know, we may have to just get a new battery.
Anyway, I ran to the gym and was about 15 minutes late for my class, but no big deal.
Port and I tried to clean up a bit before he headed to preschool.
While he was gone I worked on some primary stuff, and I also made a cake for Cassi's birthday.
When the kids all got home, we tried to clean up.
I tried to get them to clean their rooms.
Tried.....
It's okay, I told them I was gonna go through them with a bag tomorrow.....
Then we had some leftovers for dinner and headed to the fire station.
First we dropped off some cake at Bubbles house.
At the station, dad gave Cassi her gift, a pellet gun.
She wanted one bad, and Dad was super proud that she wanted done :)
I think those two will have fun times with it.
We went and played with the fire trucks again, as usual.
The guys hadn't had dinner yet, but the kiddos wanted some cake, so the guys all sang to her, she blew out the candles, and we headed downstairs for the kids to eat, but we left the rest of the cake there for the guys.
I think it was a fun day for Cassi.
She did think she should get away without cleaning her room....but I told her if she cleaned it yesterday, then she wouldn't have had to clean it today :)
I love our sweet Cass, and I know she has tough ties sometimes, but she has such a sweet spirit and tender heart.
I have learned a lot from this girl.
Love you Cassi Leath!
